In May 2019 INTARC DESIGN presented HEX in House of Detention at the Platform exhibition during Clerkenwell Design Week. With an amazing team behind us, we managed to get everything together for CDW’s 10th anniversary in the design hub of London.
INTARC DESIGN also exhibited at 100% Design at Kensington Olympia Exhibition Centre during London Design Festival 18th – 21st September 2019. Marking its 25th anniversary we were proud to present HEX within the Interiors section at Olympia.
HEX is an interactive furniture solution that transforms your space with every use. It is a bespoke system based upon fixed geometric modules which adapts easily to any commercial space, office landscapes and residential environments alike. HEX products are available as single insert components and range from a contemporary stool to height adjustable tables, shelves, drawers, planters and power supply. Inserts can be accessed from both sides, and large units serve as full room dividers.
To showcase the creativity of what INTARC DESIGN as a company had to offer, not only was the HEX designed and developed in-house, but two bespoke fabric print for the HEX stools were also showcased for the expo. Via a projector; WORX, a flexible desking system developed for agile offices, were showcased and SUNSET fabric collection from LOST PATTERNS were amongst the designs that were projected onto the raw brick walls of House of Detention.
We were also awarded a “One to Watch” plaque from Eporta – an online trade platform for professional buyers who can order interior products at trade prices.
We also launched our new Nesting Stools at 100% Design. These are manufactured using acrylic sheets which are bent and glued using CNC precision. The nesting stools feature 5 stools in 1 and are available in RAL colours to match your colour palette. If you prefer cushions on top for added comfort; we supply these as well.
HEX is also amongst the finalists for Mixology 2020 as 'Product of the Year' under the category of 'Storage'. Furthermore, WORX, is also in the running as finalist for 'Product of the Year' under the category of 'Task Furniture'. Winners for the 2020 awards ceremony will be held in September 2021.
A huge thanks to Alea and Luxy for manufacturing the HEX, Camira for supplying fabric, Alexander Maverick for the bespoke fabric print, Clarus for guest hosting the HEX after wrapping up after CDW, and Trac Group who helped with the build and logistics.
