CDW 2019

CDW 2019

Clerkenwell Design Week, 21st – 23rd May 2019

INTARC DESIGN presented HEX in House of Detention at the Platform exhibition during Clerkenwell Design Week. With an amazing team behind me, we managed to get everything together for CDW’s 10th anniversary in the design hub of London.

HEX is an interactive furniture solution that transforms your space with every use. It is a bespoke system based upon fixed geometric modules which adapts easily to any commercial space, office landscapes and residential environments alike.

HEX products are available as single insert components and range from a contemporary stool to height adjustable tables, shelves, drawers, planters and power supply. Inserts can be accessed from both sides, and large units serve as full room dividers.

HEX was developed to bring flexibility to the workplace. The furniture adapts to its users and is a space saving solution for any agile or co-working office space.

To showcase the creativity of what INTARC DESIGN as a company has to offer, not only was the HEX designed and developed in-house, but two bespoke fabric print for the HEX stools were also showcased for the expo. Via a projector; WORX, a flexible desking system developed for agile offices, were showcased and SUNSET fabric collection from LOST PATTERNS were amongst the designs that were projected onto the raw brick walls of House of Detention.

I had 3 busy but amazing days at CDW. I met some amazing people, students and professionals alike, and some truly interesting conversations were had on-site. I was also awarded a “One to Watch” plaque from Eporta – an online trade platform for professional buyers who can order interior products at trade prices. Despite the lack of breaks during the show, it was an experience that I will treasure throughout my career.

A huge thanks to Alea and Luxy for manufacturing the HEX, Camira for supplying fabric, Alexander Maverick for the bespoke fabric print, Clarus for guest hosting the HEX after wrapping up after CDW, and Trac Office who were an invaluable asset which helped me with all build and logistics!
